SDC is a center developed by NIRC in line with its philosophy focusing 'holistic development of students'. 

The Career Development and the Placement Cell at NIRC serves as an interface to establish the best student-organization fit. 

• Each student is made to understand their strengths and weakness and the kind of job and organization they are best suited to. 

• Help student build in the competencies that are of value to the prospective employers, both in contemporary as well as future perspective 

• Helping the prospective employers articulate their human resources needs, and accordingly choose from these students.

Objectives of Student Developmental Cell: 
Total Personality Development of the students by imparting the necessary Life skills and develop social and spiritual sensitization through;

v Guidance and counseling services to batch of students under the personalized attention of learned faculty
v Organize In House Career sessions with Corporate Members as to increase awareness on the corporate life and employer's expectations;
v Training the students on interview and presentation skills, developing effective resumes and other interpersonal and behavioral skills.
v Provides the students an opportunity to meet and interact with corporate executives outside their summer training and live projects. 

Activities of student Developmental Cell:
In-house Career Counselling Sessions to students on various interpersonal and human skills by experienced faculty members. Some of the areas where students were given training programmes are:

• Interpersonal Skills for Personal and Professional life

External training from professionals from Industry visiting campus in following areas:

• Preparing yourself for job interviews 

• Interview skills 

• CV updation

• Grooming and presenting yourself. 

• Knowledge about Professional Opportunity

NIRC provides a platform for creating interface between academy and industry. Initiative is taken to blend the best of academic knowledge and research with current Industry practices. 

Understanding the specific requirement of corporates, a mandatory Class on Communication & Personality development has been introduced in the curriculum. During this, the students are exposed to public speaking, presentations, self-assessment exercises and various similar activities.
